JARCHITECTURE is an award-winning, collaborative and innovative architectural design firm based in Hampshire, focusing on residential design, including new-builds, bespoke extensions and interior renovations.

Our services range from concept design, planning applications and submission to technical drawings and quality control through construction. JARCHITECTURE was founded by Jaahid Ahmad to provide creative solutions through quality design at a fair price for the surrounding community.

In 2025 JARCHITECTURE was awarded winner of the 2025/26 London & South-East England Prestige Award in the Residential Architecture Firm of the Year category.

About Jaahid

Jaahid is an experienced RIBA Part 2 architectural designer with 10 years of solid hands-on experience, graduated from The London School of Architecture. Since relocating to Hampshire, Jaahid has been working at Foundations Architects, closely with local architect John Wilson for the past 2 years on almost 50 residential projects. During this time Jaahid has worked with local authorities across south-east England from Sussex to Oxfordshire on many projects, some of which are on AONB sites.

Upon completing his RIBA Part 1 from The Cass, Jaahid joined ScottWhitbyStudio in 2015. Here he worked on many recently award-winning projects, both local and international, of various scales, budgets, and design styles, including a Grade II listed church in Westminster. Jaahid led the design for ABP’s Beyond Zero Road Safety Tour from inception to completion, creating a fully immersive, multi-sensory, pop-up cinema experience built inside a shipping container. Upon completion, this was published in design magazines including Dezeen and Frame and Jaahid was invited Intermodal Europe in Rotterdam to present this project.

Jaahid has worked for The International Association of Ahmadi Architects & Engineers (IAAAE) where his work focussed on providing humanitarian aid to the poorest communities of the world through innovative architecture and design. While working for the IAAAE, Jaahid was part of a team of engineers and architects who produced a to-scale model of a development within a rural village in Burkina Faso. This time with the IAAAE coupled with his 14 years of graphic design experience for broadcasting company MTA International has proven useful to Jaahid’s work in presenting ideas in various media.

For the past 5 years Jaahid taken on various independent residential projects, from inception through to planning. His attitude towards work is something he has always taken seriously and enjoys challenging. As well as doing his personal best in any role, he aims to benefit from it as much as possible by expanding his skillset and understanding. Punctuality is a key responsibility which Jaahid always aims to fulfil so that no time is wasted, and instead can be used productively.
